A woman has been charged after a man died in a Tesco car park.
Kimberley Ann Hawkins, 41, is set to face court on manslaughter charges concerning Neil Shadwick. The 63-year-old was discovered unresponsive in the grocery store’s car park on Stratford Road in Stroud, Gloucestershire, on January 22 last year.
Police report he was found absent of his mobility scooter, his primary means of transportation. According to Gloucestershire Live, he passed away in the hospital on the same day.
Hawkins, 41, is scheduled to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 15.
Gloucestershire Police stated: “A woman has been charged with manslaughter following an event in Stroud last year. Kimberley Ann Hawkins, 41 and of no fixed abode, faces manslaughter charges for the death of 63-year-old Neil Shadwick.
“The charges are linked to an incident in the parking lot of the Tesco superstore on Stratford Road on January 22, 2023. Mr. Shadwick was located unresponsive in the parking lot, missing his mobility scooter, which was his mode of transportation. He died in the hospital that same day.
“Hawkins is expected to stand before Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 15.”
