A man has died after a devastating fire in a Glasgow flat.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Polwarth Street in Hyndland after the fire alarm was raised at around 6 am on Friday.
The authorities have since confirmed the man’s death.
Police have stated that they are not treating the fire as suspicious.
Photos from the scene show the tenement flat with its windows shattered, likely from the intensity of the blaze. Police, firefighters, and ambulance teams were seen attending the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A man has died following a fire in a flat in Polwarth Street, Hyndland. Police were notified of the fire around 6.30am on Friday, April 26, 2024. The fire is not suspicious.”
