Jamie Ross, aged 29, was last seen in Edinburgh this afternoon. The police have launched a search operation to locate him, deploying specialized units to assist in tracking him down.

Ross was spotted in the Howdenhall Road area at about 12:28 p.m. today and then near the Cameron Toll shopping centre shortly afterward. He is described as 5ft 9ins tall with dark hair, bushy eyebrows, and blue eyes. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a black puffer jacket, dark trousers, and grey trainers.

Police Chief Inspector Mark Hamilton stated that Ross has a tattoo of the word “DAD” on his right hand. Ross is known to have connections in Edinburgh’s south side, as well as ties to Aberdeen.

Chief Inspector Hamilton added, “We are conducting extensive investigations to find Jamie, with the help of our specialized officers. Although he is believed to have links in the south of Edinburgh, we are keeping an open mind about where he could be at this point.”

The police urge anyone with information on Jamie Ross’s whereabouts to contact Police Scotland immediately. If you see someone matching his description, do not approach him. Instead, contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 1458 from Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
