A runaway Scots prisoner has been found ‘safely’ by police after a massive five-day search.
Jamie Ross, 29, is accused of escaping from guards while attending a family funeral at Mortonhall Crematorium in Edinburgh on Tuesday.
The convicted armed robber’s disappearance prompted an urgent police search.
Officers have confirmed that Ross has been located.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Jamie Ross, 29, reported missing from Edinburgh, has been traced safely. Thank you to everyone who shared and responded to our appeal.”
