Armed police descended on a Scottish gym as a man was photographed in handcuffs.
Numerous armed officers converged on Springburn Leisure Centre in Glasgow tonight following an incident.
Specialist police were seen throughout the Springburn area from about 7pm, with units positioned outside the gym on Kay Street and previously on Atlas Road.
Images captured by a shocked gym-goer depict a man being handcuffed by two officers, with two police cars stationed on the main road.
Earlier tonight, Glasgow Live noted that no fewer than six armed officers and three police vehicles were observed on Atlas Road before they rapidly moved towards Springburn High Street.
A gym witness told the Record: “I was at the gym when four or five police cars arrived, and I noticed everyone stopped their workout to look out into the street, so I watched too.
“The man appeared quite composed despite the heavy police presence.”
Police Scotland has been approached for a statement.
