A man has been arrested after a man died in hospital following an alleged attack at a bus stop in Edinburgh.
Emergency services raced to the incident on Ferry Road, near to its junction with Great Junction Street and Coburg Street, at 8.30pm on Sunday, March 10. Crews attended and two men were found injured.
They were both rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. One man, 48, was later discharged.
A second man, 65, died five days later. He was named as Nashir Ahmed.
Police confirmed they have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection. He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, March 22. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
It comes after officers were carrying out door-to-door inquiries in the area.
Several local businesses on Ferry Road also told our sister title Edinburgh Live officers have been seen in the area every day since the alleged incident.
