Aldi’s Scottish Sport Fund is back for its 9th year, and it’s offering Lanarkshire sports teams a shot at a slice of £50,000.
Launched by Aldi Scotland in 2016, the initiative aims to inspire and support folks of every age and ability to get active in their neighborhoods.
Dedicated to boosting sports accessibility across Scotland, the fund is a golden chance for clubs to snag some much-needed backing.

Sports groups have different funding levels up for grabs, with one lucky club per area landing a hefty £2500 lift.
Since its inception, close to 600 Scottish clubs have reaped the rewards, with over £390,000 dished out.
Aldi’s Scottish Sport Fund is calling on all eligible sports bodies to throw their hat in the ring.
“We’ve seen such a variety of clubs reap the fund’s benefits since 2016, securing vital cash for gear and more,” shared Richard Holloway, Aldi Scotland’s managing director, with Lanarkshire Live. “We’re all about championing the amazing efforts of local sports clubs.
“The response each year is just mind-blowing, and we can’t wait to see 2024’s turnout. I’m urging Central Scotland’s clubs to step up and grab this incredible chance,” he added.
Central Scotland’s sports clubs have until April 14 to stake their claim on the funds.
One winner will bag £2500, two will nab £1000 each, and a bunch more will pocket £500 each.
